- Prioritise the Most Used Areas – Run your dust mop across the areas used by your family first thing in the morning or right after school runs. If you keep these areas free from dust you’ll prevent any grit from being ground in.
- Move Mats Off the Floor Weekly – Doormats are great for catching stone and grit, but you should lift them once a week when you clean. Dust gets trapped underneath them, and constant traffic on the mat will grind that trapped grit right into the floor beneath.

Is polished concrete slippery when wet?
No. A high-gloss polished concrete floor looks glossy because it reflects so much light, but mechanical diamond polishing actually leaves a flat, high-friction surface. When dry, it offers better traction than polished marble or glazed ceramic tiles.
Can I use masking tape on the floor during decorating?
No. The adhesives in masking tape react chemically with the high alkalinity of the concrete paste. When you pull the tape up, the adhesive will cleanly tear out the sealer and a microscopic layer of the polished finish, leaving a permanent, matte line across your room.
Will my floor develop cracks over time?
You may see tiny, microscopic hairline lines – known as ‘crazing’ – appear in the surface paste over time. This is natural and does not affect the durability or the finish.
Will my dog’s claws scratch the surface?
No. During the installation, we apply liquid densifiers that chemically transform soft calcium into ultra-hard crystals. Your floor is physically harder than your pet’s claws. You do need to watch out for pet accidents, though. Urine is highly acidic; if a puddle is left unattended, the uric acid will bypass the sealer and chemically etch a dull patch into the gloss.
