DirectStone is a family-run business, and for more than a decade now we’ve been installing beautiful concrete flooring across the West Midlands. Our team of flooring specialists create concrete finishes, internally and externally, for domestic settings, office environments, new builds and education. As well as polishing concrete, we also repair chips and cracks, and restore neglected concrete floors back to their ‘just polished’ state.

The DirectStone team uses HTC Superfloor™ grinding machines to create a range of concrete finishes, from matte to high gloss. These use diamond studded polishing pads to create a flawless polished surface. Whilst working, we use HEPA filtered extraction to maintain a virtually dust-free environment throughout.

The secret to maintaining your high gloss lustre, is keeping the surface dust and grit free. If deposits are allowed to build up they can cause multiple tiny scratches on the surface which will, over time, dull the finish. If you have a polished concrete floor that looks dull and lifeless, DirectStone can restore its original gleam.

We use HTC Superfloor™ machines and diamond abrasive pads to grind back the dulled surface, revealing the unblemished aggregate below. Your ‘new’ floor is sealed with a densifier and re-polished to a finish of your choice.

Polished concrete is a porous material, and requires a sealant to reduce staining. Over time this will wear and need replacing. DirectStone recommends professional sealant replacement for your polished concrete every 2-4 years dependent on the volume of usage your floor gets.
